Company Objectives

Exploration objectives/strategy

HEX is focused on exploring for hydrocarbons associated with fractured reservoirs, stratigraphic traps and subtle combination traps. With this exploration focus HEX has a two fold strategy for acquiring acreage;

1) Exploring basins which have been demonstrated to be proven petroleum systems by previous exploration campaigns. Such basins are commonly associated with low cost data packages including wells and seismic and offer a ready made geological framework from which HEX can generate new exploration ideas at relatively low risk.

2) Exploring in under-evaluated regions in which acreage can be acquired at low cost and offer the potential for company-making discoveries. Such regions are chosen only if they offer the potential to be evaluated quickly and effectively and are considered to be of low political risk.

HEX's aim is to acquire exploration acreage through government application and strategic business partnerships. Once acquired, acreage will be evaluated, explored and appraised using HEX’s niche skills combined with the application of appropriate state-of-the-art geoscience technology.

HEX's focus is on exploration. Once commercial reserves have been identified HEX intends to evaluate the most appropriate method of adding shareholder value.
